I love making mosaics of trees. I had a lot of fun with this one. The UFO is a fused glass tile. Its made of a Bullseye fusible glass that’s called a “striker”. Its called that because when it heats up to a certain temperature in the kiln, it changes in color. This particular glass, strikes to a metallic surface that when mixed with some dichroic glass can be a spectacular space ship! This tree is filled with different colored fused glass birds and a handful of interesting sea shells. The piece has a surrealistic and dream like vibe. I will admit I am more of a dog person, but I do love cats, sometimes.
