Making Clay Tiles Workshop! (June)

Join me for this workshop Sat. June 10, Wed. June 14, and Sun. June 18th, from 10am to 2pm (or longer if we need to)

In this class we will make CLAY TILES. Using a slab roller to roll out our clay, we will cut out our shapes, add textures, glaze and fire our tiles. We can also hand shape tiles, but this is not a sculpture class, so all tiles will remain a maximum height and thickness.  This class is for people who want to embellish their mosaic projects with hand made ceramic tiles.

No experience required. All materials provided including a wide array of fun clay stamps and rollers.

Saturday -We make our tiles from wet clay, hand shape or roll our clay out, cut our shapes out and add any textures. Set aside to dry.

Wednesday- Tiles should be dry greenware, we can underglaze them and begin to load kiln for bisque firing.

Sunday- We do a final glazing of our tiles and prepared them for their final firing….As they are finished and out of kiln I can ship them to you or you can pick them up.
